Though it claims to be apolitical, it is a neo-fascist/neo-nazi group with tinges of libertarianism and sheer hedonism, and strong connections to W.A.R. and other White Power groups. Skinheads are very political. Just rotten to the core politics.

Abraham Lincoln Institute (for Public Policy Analysis)

RightWingererSchool

One of the more despictable "think-tanks" as it outrageously 'plays the race card' so as to con Black Americans into voting for those that will do the least for the majority of minorities. And even against measures that would help them.

Led by the slimy shyster who "defended" Clarence Thomas in the sexual discrimination accusations by former co-worker Anita Hill in the confirmation hearings for GWH Bush appointing him to the Supreme Court. He's the one that decided to attack the victim, and arranged for conservative flacks to deride Hill's reputation in the press with accusations, unlike Thomas's (which were backed up by other women Thomas had degraded), that were made up out of thin air and bile. (See Jane Mayer and Jill Abramson, Strange Justice, 1994.)

And Thomas has shown why if they ever give a prize for the most Uncle Tom house nigger, he'll win in a minute, as he ALWAYS decides the way the GOP wants.

The Abraham Lincoln Institute effective functions as a front for the more conservative Black Republicians to generate fake research to support selling out their race in exchange for a few high visibilty (and largely token) appointments, Very much anti-affirmative action and so forth, and follow the party-line. They got theirs and to hell with other Blacks.

Ultra-conservative "think tank." Supposedly was a former CIA front company, but goes back clear to 1943 so maybe tied to military intelligence rather than OSS. Connected to gold bug and anti-Federal Reserve groups like National Alliance for Constitutional Money and extreme anti-communist groups, Free Man like groups, and anti-gay groups. American Enterprise Institute

http://www.aei.org

Put Corporate Profits Ahead of Ecosystem

I debated a long time with myself about including the AEI. It is a conservative think-tank. The model for such a thing really. But it is, for the most part, staffed by honest conservatives (if you don't consider that an oxymoron). One of its founders was ex-President Gerald Ford, back in 1977. They really believe the party-line, but are not utter fanatics about it. At least not all of them. And, within the limits of their mindset and selection bias, many are honest scholars. Some of their stuff is just plain good. If usually selective.

However...

There is also no denying that in AEI's carpeted halls have gotten started more than a few of the more dangerous (as they are smart) far-right demagogues; especially the "scientific racialists" (like Charles Murray and Dinesh D'Souza), and the literalist Constitutionists whom feel the Founding Father were political saints

The AEI was a major source of fuddle-headed "experts" for Reagan's Trickle-down Treacle (though Afred Laffer didn't work here), and are repeating that "service" for the Bush-Lite cabal. Has also become steadily more hawkish, and more than a few of the promoters of Military Might Makes Right and Get Them Before They Can Get Us have found berths here. Way too many of the Bring Back the Cold War advocates have found aid and comfort in the AEI's plush offices. A stint here gives one a touch of RW class.

So one can say the AEI might have well exercised a lot more discrimination in their hiring.

They also tend to real love the smell of power, and a bit too often turned a blind-eye to certain researchers producing material dedicated to proving 2 + 3 = 7, should a conservative politican need that result. Several have ended up actually with real power. And that's usually been disasterous (witness Irangate and our occupation of Iraq).

They also have too many people whose connection to economics seems mighty thin. And large numbers that think the known universe centers upon Wall Street, and big business is always right.

So take stuff from the AEI with a very large container of salt, but, on the other hand, don't assume it is all bullfunky. Just of greatly uneven quality. Some good and honest scholars, some ready for a rubber room.

Opposes ALL abortion rights. Publishes
communiqué, a newsletter prepared by the rather unsane president Judith A. Brown (member Council for National Policy). There are various divisions whom refer to each other as "independent authorities" to back their nonsense. Like the World Life League that declares: The world is not overcrowded. There is no population crisis. People are not the problem. People are the solution!" Why Life? Their ProLife house rock band. (anyone heard anything of them?) STOPPSTOpPlanned Parenthood (nuff said). Rock for Life which covers anti-abortion bands. Rachel's Vineyard which has retreats for folks after abortion (JUST where they probably need to go). TheAmerican Bioethics Advisory Commission (they WANT to be confused with the offical group the National Bioethics Advisory Commission) – their mission: "American Life League established the American Bioethics Advisory Commission to defend the human being, his innate dignity and his unique nature. The American Bioethics Advisory Commission will not allow the rush toward bioethical tyranny to proceed unchecked." One founder is Dr. Bernard Nathanson – the producer of the trash and vile anti-abortion video "Silent Scream." Who admits aborting his own child from a woman he was not married to. And I love this one – Dentists for Life. No – I will NOT go there!

Oh yeah, and the Pro-Life Net...

They think Title X, which promotes female sports in schools, is the ruin of American values, and the major cause of single parent families, rapes, abortions, and pre-martial sex. And breast cancer too.

Even for industry lobbying groups, the gang here at the "Petroleum Palace" are outrageous in their open corruption of government. Founded in 1919, as the end of WW1 opened up to American oil companies a lot of former colonial resources controlled by Europe, it now represents over 250 oil companies, from tiny wildcatters to the most profitable company in the world Exxon-Mobil. They've pretty much gotten almost everything they wanted from Congress ever since they opened their doors on this rather ugly building.

When their long-time members George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were shoved down America's throat by a corrupt Supreme Court, there was a feeding frenzy here as they planned how to screw the United States for every nickel they could and to hell with the environment (there were even a few suggestions about scuttling the Endangered Species Act). They, of course, were largely behind Cheney's pro-energy company super-secret "National Energy Policy" (though Cheny in his little cabal left out not just anyone representing environmental groups and anyone concerned with the interests of consumers and taxpayers, but also kept out representives from Exxon-Mobil, Shell, and B-P, as they have committed themselves to more responsible policies).

American Security Council Foundation

Washington Communications Center, 5545 Security Circle, Boston, VA 22713

Fascist/RacistsPut Corporate Profits Ahead of Ecosystem

Founded in 1955 by ex-FBI agents and other spooks and cold war warriors, it was a major force during the latter McCarthy years in fingering "pinkos," and "fellow-travelers," and helped destroy the careers of hundreds of quite loyal Americans. At the height of their domestic operations these venal red hunters, including Senator McCarthy's former chief inquisitor the infamous Roy Cohn, gathered the names of alleged "subversives" at the staggering rate of 20,000 per month. Edward S. Herman and Gerry O'Sullivan, in The "Terrorism" Industry: The Experts and Institutions That Shape Our View of Terror (1989, pg. 100), said that the ASC is "not just the representative of the military-industrial complex, it is the personification of the military-industrial complex."

Coordinates the Coalition for Peace Through Strength and National Security Caucus: the action arm of the American Security Council Foundation, and which has received funding from the major "defense" contractors including Motorola, Lockheed, Boeing, and General Dynamics, among others, including Rev. Moon's Unification Church.

Though they love to rant and rage about they're most certainly not be conservatives, though certain prominent "Libertarianism," attack the religious right and even selected conservative politicians, their "liberalism" is as shallow as their heroine' grasp of economics, philosophy, or novel-writing. In everything that does not affect their own "natural right" to indulge themselves, their positions are almost all quite conservative and even reactionary.

As for the late Ms Rand, it is hard to find in the "free world" an author whose obvious inadequacy as a novel-writer have been so massively over-looked simply because her works embody vapid (and rather boring for unbelievers or true skeptics) messages of irresponsibility and selfishness. Rand's pseudo-philosophy is so appealing to certain literary critics and publishers her really bad books have been lauded by those that would condemn her work as trite and badly written if the author had been, let us say, a Marxist. Her novels are really quite terrible, her works on "philosophy" don't even rate a passing mention in legitimate philosophical circles, and her "economic" theories are prehistoric at best. Yet she is wildly popular in some part of the WWW. For the reasons why, and how absurd these doctrines truly are, see The Fraud of Libertarianism.

Influential libertarian public policy research center. Founded in 1977. This one has managed to con a lot of folks by supported selected hot topics. But in reality pushes Mellon-era no-reg economics, the latest flavors of neo-conservatism and the voiding of the social contract with the one human right "to do what you damned please;" with sometimes truly terrible scholarship hidden behind phony statistics. Like all libertarians they get some things right, but other things (like the sacredness of private property, and the self-correctiveness of a "free market," very wrong. Nevertheless they do support free speech and opposes the utterly lost War on Drugs (which has only forced us to build hundreds of new prisons, completely clogged the judicial system, made otherwise next to harmless recreational drugs so expensive drug-dealers kill over the profits, and taken houses away from grandmothers because their grandson got caught smoking a joint on the stoop). Now if they could only get their head from up their sweet-smelling behinds on the rest.

Recently it seems to have become the "official" RW foundation for Washington news-bureaus, and gets its "experts" even on the BBC in its American news-show. Always pushing the far-right POV which nowadays effectively is that of the US government.

Publishes the cranky Policy Analysis newsletter and the slightly saner Cato Journal.

It does seems they are currently, with exposure to the real world, moving away from strict Libertarianism. And some of their more recently hired experts and newer research both seem reasonable, if still right of center.

This is one of the numerous collections of dunderheads (like the National Defense University) pushing for a new generation of nukes, like the utterly unnecessary Robust Nuclear Earth Peneterator, supposedly needed to act as a deterrent against people and their supposed weapons of mass destruction buried in what iclaimed to be thousands of deep bunkers. Problem is that both Gulf Wars proved to anyone sane that we don't need nukes to take care of them.

Former – at least they thought they were – leftists David "I used to have a brain" Horowitz and Peter Collier publish Heterodoxy, a truly boring newspaper-format monthly where they publish "articles and animadversions [sic] on political correctness and other follies." Horowitz, who seems trying to be Bill Buckley's replacement (but is at least 30 IQ points short), frequently appears on TV and radio. Writes a trashy and nasty column at the sometimes too tolerant Salon, denouncing "the left" (anyone that questions his version of reality), and attack the real world for various "falsehoods." Like David would know truth if it bit his ass off. It seems the "falsehoods" largely are by people pointing out he lies a lot, and often hasn't a clue about what he's babbling on about.

The magazine seems to prefer a world where only certain people have freedom of speech (them included of course). See Committee on Media Integrity.

Fascist/RacistsChristian et al FAR Right, Sects, and DoomsdayersHatred/Fear of homosexuality/sexualityNasty or Naughty

Leading think tank of the Christian FAR-right; run by the certifiable Rouas J.Rushdoony. The father of Christian Reconstructionism and an early advocate of the Christian School movement. Rushdoony, a militant fundamentalist who was instrumental in getting the modern godfather of Creationism Henry Morris's book The Genesis Flood published in 1961, believes the United States should be directly transformed into a theocracy in which the fundamentalists would rule directly according to the will of God. "There can be no separation of Church and State," Rushdoony declares. "Christians," a Reconstructionist pamphlet declares, "are called upon by God to exercise dominion."

Reconstructionists propose doing away with the US Constitution and secular laws, and instead ruling directly according to the laws of God as set out in the Bible – they advocate a return to judicial punishment for religious crimes such as blasphemy or violating the Sabbath, as well as a return to such biblically approved punishments as stoning. work towards the elimination of abortion, homosexuality, labor unions, divorce, pornography, social welfare and secular education. A growing number of Reconstructionists are also proponents of armed "Citizens Militia" organizations such as the
Christian Patriots Defense League, the racist, Christian Identity-influenced,Posse Comitatus, and other white supremacist groups such as the Aryan Nations and the American Front.

According to Rushdoony, the Second Coming of Christ can only happen after the "Godly" have taken over the earth and constructed the Kingdom of Heaven here: "The dominion that Adam first received and then lost by his Fall will be restored to redeemed Man. God's People will then have a long reign over the entire earth, after which, when all enemies have been put under Christ's feet, the end shall come."

"Christian Reconstructionism," another pamphlet says, "is a call to the Church to awaken to its Biblical responsibility to subdue the earth for the glory of God.... Christian Reconstructionism therefore looks for and works for the rebuilding of the institutions of society according to a Biblical blueprint."

Authoritarian pseudo-religion (though it finally bribed enough officials at the Enemy IRS to get non-profit status in 1993, even after innumerable federal, state. local and international crimes, thefts of government papers, and about everything short of murder), Started in the early Fifties by hack SF writer Lafayette Ron Hubbard (born 1911 and died sometime from 1983-1986), to make more profit from his pop-psychology personal improvement gimmick ofDianetics. The real history of the "Church" would make a great mini-series, though it would have to be on a cable channel because of the content. And would get sued.

Today it presents publicly a benign face via gullible celebrity members like Tom Cruise and John Travitoa. But it is still acting amazingly paranoid and seems to always have hundreds of lawsuits going at all times seeking to silence its legion of critics and ex-Scientologists. COS is certainly, going by their record, not above illegal tactics, and have online mastered the art of spamming and hacking websites of those that dare question their actions. They've repeatedly tried to shut down the Usenet group alt.religions.scientology despite public claims to support free speech and thought.

Dianetics works about as well, or not, as any other "improvement" program, all of which can claim some successes, but not nearly as much as more mainstream church social programs, governmentally provided ones and private experts. Those E-Meters of theirs definitely are medical quackery and rip-offs, as they're just fancied olm meters no more sensitive than a ten dollar one from Radio Shack, and merely measure the skin's electrical resistance.

Politically very conservative, as well as paranoid, they do some good works via various directly owned organizations where they hide often (but not always) their connection from the public, and some of which serve to hide political activities and to allow them to move money around and hide it from the tax-collectors. These include: American Citizens for Honesty in Government, Author Services Incorporated, Citizens Commission on Human Rights, Committee on Public Health and Safety, Committee for a Safe Environment, Concerned Businessmen's Association of America, International Association of Scientologists, Narconon, National Commission of Law Enforcement and Public Safety, Sterling Management, The Way to Happiness Foundation, WISE International .And uncounted associated companies, actually front groups under various "managements" but really controlled by the COS; such as Advanced Organization of Los Angeles, Flag Service Organization, L. Ron Hubbard Gallery, and so forth.

Publishes several magazines including Advance, High Winds and Source. Also publishes several newspapers and newsletters including The Auditor, Tech News,Scientology Today,International Scientology News, KSW News and the FSM Newsletter. Its existence is more fantastic than any of Hubbard's overblown space opera.

Hey, the 2nd Amendment is for legal militias, plain and simple, and there are two in the US. The Massachusetts Militia, a Minuteman Recreationist group, and the National Guard. Period. According to militia law back to Colonial days. Even "common law."

And I got no problem with either responsible adults owning reasonable weaponry for sport and defense, as well as the government's equal right and responsibility to limit and regular deadly arms in private hands, and according to Article I, Section 8 of the United States Constitution. clauses 15 and 16, the final (and legit) authority, funding, and control of the militias comes from Congress, which is to say the federal government. Not local gun and gripe clubs, or even county sheriffs.

A clearinghouse for initiatives to pull offending texts out of school libraries, and toss out material supporting sexual freedoms, gender choice, pro-choice, and so forth. Suggest in several of its organizing handbook that groups use "Citizens for Responsive Education" as a model name for when seeking to gain control of local school boards. Founder/leader Robert Simmonds has said, "We can take complete control of all local school boards. This would allow us to determine all local policy: select good textbooks, good curriculum programs, superintendents, and principals. Our time has come!"

Many have taken that advice, with names like Citizens Alliance for Responsible Education, Citizens for Active Responsibility in Education, Citizens Organized for Responsible Education, Citizens for Responsible Education, and Parents for Responsible Education, those just in the Washington State region alone!

CEE claims 130,000 members and 1,210 chapters , and to have tens of thousands of members on school boards. Frankly that's very unlikely. Or so I pray.

Citizens for Fairness in Education

School Christian et al FAR Right, Sects, and Doomsdayers

Mainly a stealth-mode way for Creationism to sneak into public schools. Run by Paul Ellwanger.

It has helped formulate and push most of the bills that have sought to change state laws to mandate the teaching of Creationism, using the fallacious "fairness" argument. If one side cannot prove anything, and the other has proved everything, it is hard fair to give the first equal status with the latter.

Nevertheless, bill were passed in Arkansas, Louisiana, And elsewhere based on this premise. Recently in Ohio as well.

In Ellwangers' (1984) own words: "...the concept of "balanced treatment" (presenting both evolution and creation science) in K-12 public schools is considered by legal and scientific professionals as the only constitutional way to achieve a fair hearing of the powerful scientific case for creation in our pluralistic society. This balanced treatment on origins can be attained by only two methods -- the voluntary (by resolution) route or the mandatory (by legislation) route. CFE is in favor of both but we accentuate the latter method for reaching the most schools in America in the shortest possible time.... Our balanced treatment bill leaves the religious [philosophical] aspects on origins for the homes, synagogues, temples, churches, and philosophy courses. Their newsletter also noted that CFE is not a creationist or religious group, nor are we affiliated with any such group. We are national in scope, are in favor of academic freedom and opposed to the suppression of scientific information on the subject of origins, whether that information happens to contradict either evolution or creation. We do not poll our supporters on their creed, race, or political affiliation."

As you can see, he has some trouble with the truth, as for one thing, CFE most certainly is a Creationist group, supported by grants from the Christian Right. Has set up dozens of other not visibly affliated groups in non-progressive states.

Headed by what the LA Times calls "The High Priest of the Carbon Club" lobbyist Don Pearlman (and GW Bush buddy), this is a well funded and very secretive anti-environmental front group for a collation of American energy companies. There seems a strong connection to Opec countries.

It functions largely to allow energy-corporation lobbyists to attend environmental and energy-policy conferences undercover.

This a a primal source for the multimillion attack upon the Kyoto Protocol. Behind the industry-sponsored whore "scientists" denying global-warming. Never mind no credible scientist in the world doubts the quite conclusive evidence that man-created greenhouse gases at least have a large part of the impossible for even the pseudoscientists to deny increase in world temperature.

This bunch's main and lame argument is that it is "coincidental" that the input of pollution exactly synchronizes with the timing and amount of the warm-up. Sure, it has warmed up before in the past. (Just ask any dinosaur... Opps, wait, there aren't any left to ask!), but it was not like what we now see in a dozen factors. The fact is mainstream science has confirmed the link of human output of greenhouse gases to global warming. But as conservatism depends upon living in denial, it makes them vulnerable to asinine arguments like from this nasty bunch of liars. meanwhile, if things do not change in fifty years a quarter of the species on the planet will be dying off *(already the insects are right now facing a Great Extinction according to the latest survey), not including the threats from construction and destruction of ecosystems for farming to feed 12 billion people.

President Richard Smith loves ABC's moronic RW flack John Strossel (Give HIM a Break, in the neck). Who really needs to register as a lobbyist. He uses is cover as a "journalist" to push the nonsense that chemicals, in small enough doses, are totally harmless, and the fact the death rate from cancer is going doing as chemicals in the environment increase "proves" chemicals don't really cause cancer. But the reality is hundreds of billions of dollars in medical treatment, hard work by patients and their families, and lots of research is why death-rates are going down, and John conveniently ignores that the number of cancer cases are going UP. This is the kind of twisted logic and quarter-truths this group uses to dispute global warming. Nevermind NASA, NOAA, the National Academy, the Royal Society, CERN, and pretty much every other legitimate scientific organization in the world says global warming is real and clearly linked to human activity.

Wants a world run by the right people (corporation CEOs). And covered with a healthy layer of smog.

Fascist/RacistsChristian et al FAR Right, Sects, and DoomsdayersTax-cheating, Hatred/Fear of homosexuality/sexualitySchool Nasty or Naughty

The nation's largest conservative Christian women's organization with chapters in 50 states. Led by Beverly LaHaye, wife of looney (but talented) Christian right preacher and author Timothy LaHaye. This nutty bunch considers high levels of defense spending and aggressive anti-communism to be integral to defending traditional family values. It claims half-a-million members, $10 million a year budget, 25 full-time staff and 2,500 local Prayer/Action chapters, and a far flung base of "kitchen table lobbyists."

Problem is Bev is totally nuts. I mean truly certifiable. Hates gays and freedom of thought or worship. Beverly LaHaye went on different Christian "talk radio" shows to blast American Airlines because "American's sponsorship of homosexual 'pride' events constitutes an open endorsement of promiscuous homosexuality." And: "They not only tolerate them, I think they like these gay intruders and lesbian voodoo witches, and their blatant disregard for the safety of all children."

Like her husband (Beverly and Tim LaHaye met while attending the notorious Bob Jones University) she is an anti-Semite and believes the Holocaust was cooked up by Jewish moguls in Hollywood who faked the films of the camps to somehow push their secret cause of anal sex among good little Christian children under the age of ten – no kidding folks. She and he feel that all of this excessive freedom given to African-Americans goes beyond man's birth-given right to be free. All these ridiculously illogical rights they have openly encourages them to rape pregnant, white women.

They also think that Asians forming their own communities within major cities is blatant communist behavior and they should be gassed accordingly. "Why they're even a part of life" she has said in the past, "is the dilemma that keeps me up at nights like the bloodsucking Jews who sleep upside down, if you know what I mean."

That Mexicans have it too easy because the U.S./Mexican border doesn't have a sensor that would shoot an arrow directly into the heart of any Mexican trying to sneak over. It's been pointed out to her that such a method could also possibly kill innocent American soldiers guarding the border. She responded, "Well, if they're near the border, then they're probably thinking about crossing and you know what that means...hot anal pumping." She thinks Mexico's mere existence openly encourages homosexual behavior among white, Christian children.

She also said: "Spirit-controlled women are truly liberated because they are totally submissive to their husbands." And thinks these contribute to the gay and lesbian agenda: Individually sliced cheese, Pekinese dogs, V-neck sweaters, Sneakers with the clear bubble support at the sole, Albinos, Midgets and Tuna with scallions. The LaHayes also push the videos and pamphlets linking Halloween with Satanism and the myth of the Satan Cult child abuse rings. As well as Tim's many bad novels.

About as screwy as Mrs. LaHaye is Sandra Martinez, who acts as the CWA's link-woman with the "Patriot" far-right, militia and New World Order Conspiracy types, and especially with the radical anti-abortion movement.

And leading their battle against "smut" is the assistant editor of their monthly rant-magazine Family Voice. Nina George Hacker (no sic). "Numerous studies have shown repeatedly that exposure to obscene materials correlates with increased rapes, prostitution, child molestation, violent crime, the abuse of women, and sex addiction in men." And probably causes cancer and male-pattern baldness too... Two little problems. One, the "studies" in question were sponsored almost entirely by anti-porn groups, and were not published in peer-reviewed and legitimate scientific journals. Two, what genuine studies by real scientist that do show even the slightest "correlation" between some of those things (not all) and pornography, show only that association with the persons surveyed; that is, that the people in question enjoy porn. But they do not show the porn causes or even triggers aberrant or illegal or immoral behavior. You could just as easily blame fast food for causing these things. And when checked against cross-cultural studies, in places where porn has never been illegal, or even more legal, does not show ANY "correlation" between all those horrible things and availability. Quite the opposite.

Tax-cheating,

Basically just promotes the underground bestseller The Law That Never Was. But despite what it claims, the Sixteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was indeed ratified. In 1913! (It was in all the papers.) And the federal income tax was always legal (the only question was state allocations). So pay yer taxes already!

Major Christian right ministry led by "Dr." James Kennedy, who was on the founding Board of Directors of Jerry Falwell's defunct Moral Majority,.has called public schools "Godless" and actively campaigned for the impeachment of a federal judge who ordered a proselytizing state judge in Alabama to remove the Ten Commandments from his courtroom. "ev." Kennedy also has a well-documented history of raising money by promoting the false and inflammatory stereotype that gays and lesbians are child molesters. Seeks the "application of biblical principles to all spheres of our culture and to all of life."

This truly evil group and leader is affiliated with the Center for Reclaiming America.

Cornerstone (Baptist) Church

San Antinio

Headed by ultra-fundamentalist James Hagee, this four thousand plus congressation became of national importance thanks to member House majority leader Tom Delay, with visits from other high-ranking Republican leaders, and thanks to its strong connections to the government of Israel (a regular stop for Israeli officals is the pulpit here). It is one of the most promient of the Endtimer churches, seeking to bring about the Second Coming. Here you also hear in Hagee's regular broadcasts the real Middle East policy of the US under the Bush Doctrine: Jerseleum, the West Bank, and the Temple Mount belong ONLY to Israel; Yasser Arafat is a terrorist that should be eliminated, Iraq must be invaded and Saddam Hussein toppled.

Hagee also promotes the same lines of sexism as the Promise-Keepers, is homophobic, and the usual redneck bullfunky.

Fascist/RacistsHatred/Fear of homosexuality/sexuality

Combines militarism, anti-immigrant nativism, and homophobia. Larry Pratt, was a central figure within the CIS hierarchy as was Patrick Buchanan (who seems to be finally growing up) – linked to IranGate and COINTELPRO and US Taxpayers Party. As well as most Anti-communist groups. Scary and the Real Thing. Pratt and Buchanan were officers of the CIS. This hard-right think tank was the author of most of Ronald Reagan’s Latin American policy and repeated the favor for George Bush Senior. The CIS has extensive ties to the Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s Unification Church, a cult-like, antidemocratic religion which seeks political influence within the right wing movement internationally.CAUSA, a funding arm of the Moonies with big economic interests in Latin America, is one important link between the two groups. Also to the racist English First group

Other leading members of the CIS were retired general (ex-con and traitor) John ("Jack") Singlaub and Adolfo Calero of the Nicaraguan Contras. In addition to his efforts in the Philippines and his own involvement in the Iran-Contra affair, Singlaub is head of the former World Anti-Communist League (WACL), now re-named the World League for Freedom and Democracy. WACL was an amalgam of U.S. and European nazis and Neo-Nazis, Latin American death squads and Asian dictatorships. Tim LaHaye was the founder and first president.

Very secretive and very very scary. And very ignored by the corporate media.

Council for National Policy
